At just about the intersection of I-80 and I-25, we have joined the 50+ trucks at the Flying J truck stop. There are probably at least as many across I-25 at the Loves Truck stop as there are here. It's a tad loud, with the trucks all having their motors running all night and the sounds of the interstate traffic.
BUT!!!! We are in Wyoming! whaa hoo!!!! We left St. Vrains State Park on Monday morning, taking the RV to another repair shop a few miles from there. The diagnosis was the same as the previous one - yes, we need a repair, yes, it'll take a week or so, and no, it's not necessary until we return to Roanoke. Pleased, out a little moula for the analysis, we prepared to leave yesterday, heading for Greely, CO, to have an alignment done. I started the RV motor and the parking brake refused to release. Sigh. Another diagnosis and a new part to be ordered. I will say that the guys there did a great job of getting our little part in "next day", fixed the problem, and sent us on our way around 1 p.m. A day late, but whatever..So, today we arrived in Greely to try to get the RV to drive better. We had the BEST mechanic ever! He not only did a great alignment, but also went with us for a test drive afterwards, after hours. The results are amazing and the RV handles much better; less "wallowing" along the road. It was later than we hoped, but we left for the 1 hr ride to WY. We arrived here in Cheyenne around dusk, parking our "rig" with the big boys. Pictures tomorrow, I plan!
Tomorrow we intend to fill up the RV, dump the water tanks, and scoot the 130 miles to Saratoga, WY, for a few days. The exploring and adventuring is beginning!
