Much to our amazement, the shop found our problem, fixed it, and the RV was ready for pick up by around 2! and at a reasonable cost (for RV repair, of course...) We had somehow fried a heavy electrical switch mechanically associated with the ignition lock. This may be related to our ignition problem when we weren't able to turn the ignition key yesterday afternoon.
It was after 4:30 by the time we picked up the RV and entered the interstate, but we were overjoyed to be on our way. OK, maybe Smoky wasn't overjoyed, but she did well.
Our 400 mile daily goal couldn't be accomplished, of course, but we did manage to do 151 miles, mostly up WV inclines. The 151 mile day is a bit deceptive, as the time includes actually closing up the house, getting out of there, picking up the RV, and hitting the road. That took a couple of hours.
We are now tucked in the far corner of a 24 hour Wal-Mart in Beckley, WV. yea!!!! Tomorrow we will leave early and try to make up a couple of hours. Westward, ho!
