Boat Chores and the joy of being back in Roanoke

We're glad to be back at the land based home!  After a few initial days here, we returned to Deltaville to paint/wax/do projects.  Spent about 10 days there before coming back home until mid June.  I didn't get a picture, but just in case you've forgotten, here's one from last year's painting.  It's a dirty, hot job.

Luke also had to go back up the mast for work on installing a new auto pilot.  It's a long ways up, y'all...

After the outside chores, Luke finished installing our new auto pilot (we named him "Bruce"), plus a few electronic gizmos that he wanted.

When we return in June we'll spend another week or so on the hard installing a water-flow cabin heater (uses the hot water from the engine when it's running to heat the cabin), a new screen "door" for the companion way hatch, a FISHING TABLE! so Luke doesn't have to kneel in ocean swells to filet our newly caught fish, plus a few other little things.  Then, there is the provisioning of food and such, diesel, filling the water tanks, and we'll be on our way north!
In the meantime, we are really enjoying our hectic but wonderful time home, seeing family& friends and basically enjoying our house.
