Oops

We were too tired and jet lagged to blog on Wednesday after a full day of sight seeing.. Thurs we moved to a different cousin's  home and I anticipated catching up. But his wifi was dead and we only returned to cousin #1 this evening. I tried restaurants, coffee houses, shops - nothing.

I will catch up.... we've seem so many beautiful places!

We made it

Safe, sound, sleepless for 30 hours, and safe in the arms of our Belgium family.

Tomorrow we plan to explore Antwerp. Pictures, I Promise.

Boarding soon

We made it....although we're beginning to wonder! In the past week we've both had a medical issue, traffic jam leaving the house for for our 4 hour drive to the airport, the clerk at the check-in counter kept our passports, trapped the elevator for about 5 minutes....hoping these weren't signs!

Boarding in an hour, Brussels at 9:30 Tuesday morning (3:30 eastern time), with a 2 hour layover in Dublin.  Luke standing in front of our Irish airline.i

What a great way to start the trip – we are 5 miles up a road that doesn't allow tractor-trailers because they always jackknife... Guess what....so two minutes into our trip, we are now one half hour behind schedule

Almost gone....

We are flying out tomorrow, about 5:30 p.m. The clothes are packed, the house cleaned for sitters, and boarding passes printed. Good thing Smokey doesn't know we're deserting her...of course, when she sees us putting suitcases in the car, she zips off to try to hide so she doesn't get a car ride. She will win this time!

New Travels

Never ones to stay home, we have plans to leave in about a week and spend a couple of weeks in Europe! Luke is from Belgium, and we just have not seen his family recently. So, we'll be going there and spending time with 3 of his cousins. Then a few days in Amsterdam and several in Ireland! Can't wait! and we don't have to drive the RV or sail Latitudes for this trip! Daughter Heather will be spending most of the time here at the house, sitting for our Princess Smokey. Neighbors will be staying with her the rest of the time. But I'll miss her... Big family news for me, daughter Nikki is officially engaged to Tom, her boyfriend of a couple of years! Yay!!! Congratulations! and we're so happy to be getting Tom as our son-in-law. Hope to have the capability to blog while we're in Europe - I'm gonna try!
