On the waterway again!!!!

Luke got a good report from the doctor - said he's better than most at a week after surgery :-) S0, we had a quiet New Year's Eve (got up at 11:30 to watch the NYC ball drop), up at 5 to prepare for leaving Morehead City, and cast off before dawn, at 6am.

We opted for the "offshore" option for this leg of the trip. Instead of going down the ICW, we went out of the Beaufort NC channel, 73 miles SW (8 miles offshore at the most), and got to Wrightsville Beach NC by dusk. It was a good trip - in fact, we got to sail about 1/2 of the way.

There are a gazillion pelicans here. This is just one area of shore....

One last picture of Wickie, exploring the docks at the Sanitary Restaurant.... he's just so darn cute, but then, I'm prejudiced.
