Stampede Rodeo!

Calgary  Stampede!  What is there to not like about the old west….

Lost children (daughter Heather!)

Hordes of rodeo fans (we hear 1.5 million visitors in 10 days)

High flying motor-cross dare devils (one of three was proudly introduced as Evil Kinevel's GODSON!!!...)

Parachuting Canadians.  One made a rather hard landing but it was announced later that he was "alert and joking and on his way to the hospital...)

Bull riding cowboys making dramatic air-borne entrances into the arena, flying from down above the bleachers. (NASCAR - you watching?)

Wild bucking broncos

And bulls, flying high.  These bronco and bull riders are the best in the world, world champion class.  It was wonderful to see  how it was done well, especially with world class "animal athletes" too!

Half time included the Ceremonial Hoop Dancing champion.  He was amazing.

And on Monday, Heather, Luke, and I will do it all over again!  But tomorrow, we also get to watch the chuck wagon races (Derbyland Race), a big concert, and fireworks!

oh, and Calgary?  City!
