Just a little update....

Still working on those pesky tasks....

Luke has spent the last long while working on a new roller furling control line for the main sail...that means doing an end-to-end splice on a double braided rope, all the while maintaining a constant diameter so the rope can continously go through a pulley.  Sound complicated?  It was...

the start - notice our Christmas lights in the background???

Almost finished..

Finished!  Note that good looking splice that you can't see!  It's important, as it has to run smoothly through the rope clutches and a pulley on the mast.

We did get a lot accomplished today- the splice, the dinghy outboard motor oil changed, the console cleaned, and one of the back lazarettes completely gutted, cleaned, and put back together.

A little Christmas in the salon. Thanks to Nikki, we have little battery lights to brighten up Frosty.  Merry Christmas thoughts!

Last night was a pot luck dinner with the marina "residents".  Angie provided the pork loin and everyone else provided "sides".  Very yummy and a fun get-together.  It's great down here  - warm enough to meet outside for our after dark dinners!

Today daughter Heather and I finalized plans for a few days in the RV at the Calgory Stampede next summer.  Front row, center for the rodeo!!!  Can't wait till July!
