half way through Kansas

We got a bit of a delayed start - good intentions and all ----- when we awoke at 5 a.m. the wind was howling so hard that the RV was shaking.  Not dangerously, but definitely wiggling about.  We decided to go back to sleep and hit St. Louis after rush hour rather than before as planned.  Worked like a charm.
The roads were good today and we made good time. Cloudy in the morning around St. Louis, clear, sunny, mid 80's and low humidity for the rest. No Tornados or heat waves, lots of evidence of flooding around the Mississippi and Missouri rivers.
Now we are at a KS rest area that is available for RV overnighters.  Tomorrow we should be in Colorado Springs.
It's late.  We had showers, a "home cooked" dinner, and made plans for tomorrow.  Now it's late and we're sleepy (this time change is catching up with us!)
Pictures on the next blog!
