Wastin' away again in Miami-ville

Well, not really - we ARE waiting for the elusive weather window to cross to Bimini.  Thought it would be last Monday, then Thursday, then Saturday.  At this moment, Sunday (most likely Monday) are looking like prospects.  But it is ok - it would be foolish to take chances on weather when crossing the Gulf Stream.  And we're having a good time here!  Buddies Bonnie and Pete are here with us, waiting for the crossing.  Yesterday we did the mini tour of Coconut Grove.  Today we caught a couple of buses and saw Coral Gables.  Tomorrow (rain permitting) Bonnie and I will do laundry and grab some over-priced coffee.

Here is one of the main streets in Coral Gables - really just a big town in a warm climate with palm trees and cars.

We returned to our anchorage in Coconut Grove - this is the marina with slips - I think they have 9 piers with who knows how many slips----it's BIG. Latitudes isn't here - we are out a bit, in the mooring field.

Two sculling boats were at practice when we returned.  Their precision is amazing.

Boat names ---- we see and hear some "interesting" boat names.  Some are cute, some are nautical, and some are....well, would you name your boat any of the below???

 Empty Toilet
Useless Winch
Last Boat #5
Galadriel Again

I need to start keeping a list and will add a few as we see them.

Signed,

Bobbie, on the very nautically named Latitudes :-)
